He Has Risen!

“And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.” (Mark 16:6 ESV)

Isaiah 53:4-6 ESV

Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
(Isaiah 53:4; Isaiah 53:5-6 ESV)
But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

1 Corinthians 15:1-6 ESV

Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.

Thank You Jesus for dying for me. Although it is crushing to think of all you endured because you loved me SOOO much, before it gets to bad, I can take joy in the fact that you got up from the grave. My Lord has gotten out of the grave!! Thank you Jesus for rising from the grave, because I can have hope that one day I too, will also rise from the grave if my Lord does not come back first and be united with my Lord and Savior forever in eternity. Amen.

Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday! ~ Mekenna 🙂
