What’s Cooking? | Seasoned French Fries

What’s up people!

I’m back with another cooking post for you. This time it’s seasoned french fries! Yum!

Tuesday, we didn’t know what we were going to eat for lunch, so I looked in the freezer to find some leftover frozen french fries. At first I put them back because I wasn’t in the mood for some plain ol’ fries. 😀 Then, I thought why not season them yourself?

So I headed over to the allrecipes.com and using two differnt recipes I came up with a combination that I felt would fit my families tastebuds and what we had on hand. 😉

1 Teaspoon of:

  • granulated garlic
  • onion powder
  • salt
  • paprika

I also used olive oil for coating. I didn’t measure it out I just drizzled enough onto the fries while they were in the bag.

Then I added the seasoning which I had whisked together in a separate bowl. I shook up the bag, thoroughly coating the frozen fries.

I preheated the oven for 400* and let them bake for 30-35 minutes.

Results: The family loved them! The only thing I would change would be the salt. The fries I used were store bought, so they already had salt on them and the added salt was just a tad too much. (However, on homemade french fries I would keep the salt.) But other than that they were really good. They hit the spot and they tasted kind of like Rally’s fries. I will definitely make them again.

I hope you enjoyed this segment of What’s Cooking?  I know I enjoyed them Tuesday 😀 Have a great day and eat well.
